pitch to antiparent

Do you have a cool idea for a piece related to youth liberation, family abolition, childcare, social reproduction theory, or similar topics? antiparent is now accepting pitches.

What we're looking for:

  • Reflections from young people (especially minors) about how these issues have affected you personally, and how you are organizing around them.
  • Analyses of the social, legal, economic, environmental, and political aspects of issues related to childhood/adolescence and childcare, particularly through a historical materialist lens.
  • Reflections from caregivers, educators, and other adults about how you put your support for youth liberation into practice.

Tips for an effective pitch:

  • Format your subject line as follows: "PITCH: [Title/Headline]"
  • Include a one-paragraph summary of the topic you want to cover, a 1-2 sentence bio explaining your relationship to the topic, and the draft of your work (if you have one).
    • No file attachments, please.
  • The ideal length for pieces is 750-2000 words.
  • Articles will be fact-checked thoroughly; please include sources whenever possible.

As of September 2026, antiparent is a fully volunteer-run project and cannot provide financial compensation for submissions.

Submissions should be sent to pitches[at]antiparent[dot]com. Thank you for your interest!
