objective
The oppression of children is rarely ever acknowledged by adults except as a joke. That needs to change. The goal of antiparent is to map the path to youth liberation:
- To show all the ways children's oppression exists today and the trajectory of their treatment considering global politics
- To document the historical context of children's treatment in various societies
- To connect youth oppression to so many other types of oppression, and youth liberation to other major liberation movements
- To figure out what concrete steps we need to take as parents, alloparents, and educators to support youth liberation
Most importantly, antiparent seeks to support young people in developing their own understanding of their oppression and their own plan to counter it. Basically, I'm here to try to help you make your own path forward, not to just tell you what to do.
